We are the Saluda High School Tiger Band Boosters. We are an organization whose sole purpose is to support and advance the aspirations of our children with their love for the arts.
The SHS Band Booster Club supports the music programs of Saluda High School which is classified as a Title I school. Our wonderfully talented young musicians are from all walks of life. Our music program has made it possible for students to perform and achieve multiple awards in competition.
Our organization relies primarily on the amazing dedication of parent volunteers and independent sponsor donations. Some of the wonderful things that our generous financial donors make possible include:
- Instruments and their repair for the band program
- Marching Band uniforms and maintenance
- Scholarship assistance
- Meals and fees for competitions, exhibitions, and festivals
- Music equipment and supplies
- Transportation to away games, competitions, and off-campus events
- Equipment truck and trailer maintenance, repairs, and fuel
- Supplemental instructor time
- Band trips
- Band camps and so much more!!!
We are always in need of volunteers to help with events such as football games, competitions, and field trips. We also need help building props, pulling trailers, cleaning uniforms, and a laundry list of other jobs that are required to make a band program successful. If you would like to volunteer to help our band program, you can talk to Ms. Wingate, come to one of our booster club meetings (2nd Tuesday of every month at 6:30 in the band room), or email saludatigerband@gmail.com.
All volunteers who work with students must complete the Saluda School District’s Volunteer Application Form. These must be completed and approved every year in order to chaperone the band. Please print this form, fill it out, and return it to Ms. Wingate. The high school has copies of this form as well if you need to pick one up from the office.
